Two-tone Rugers

Has anyone else 2-toned their Rugers? Mine (.45 convertible) was done when I got it. It was a nice price because I think it may have turned some people off. I've done a little polishing on the Al, and changed grips. It definitely grew on me. Now I wouldn't mind another.

Re: Before The Ammo/Components Shortage.....

.327 Fed Mag for handgun. I have a bunch of other people's 32 h&r handloads and would love to shoot them vs breaking them down. / .358 Winchester for rifle. I have a 660 Rem. I'm wanting to rebarrel into a 6 pound carbine.

Welcome from another rookie and congrats on a neat ole 94. I have a 38 model which is just your standard ole 94. Ugly as sin, but boy that action is like melted butter on an eels belly.

Re: Longshot powder

.

I just snagged 3 lb myself so I've been checking too. According to my Richard Lee book it does well for 38 Spl +P, 9mm, mid to upper range .357, max velocities with some .40 SW, midrange .41 and .44mag, and even a couple upper range .45 acp loads.

Thanks everyone. I do have 100 rds so far. But it's full up with factory Winchester loads. Their days are numbered though, so I will order Starline asap.

Re: Making 38-40 brass

38/40 made from 44/40 is the easiest forming you'll ever do. But you make sure the mouth is perfectly round before you run the 44/40 into your 38/40 size die. The least little dent (like is so common in new brass) will result in a wrinkle. I like to do mine in the progressive press where I use the ...

Re: Making 38-40 brass

Get your order in now... avoid the rush when it does become available again: https://www.starlinebrass.com/38-40-brass As I understand it... when they get "so many" back-ordered, they make a production run... But, they can't guess how many they need to make if they don't have orders... Fo...

Making 38-40 brass

Has anyone necked down 44-40 brass to make 38-40? Wondering if the thin necks would be problematic. Just thinkin ahead in case I cant find the latter.

Santa Delivers

Wanted to see if I could do pics and these were most recent. Had to pay for it myself. Santa said half the elves caught the stuff and wouldn't come back to work cuz their unemployment checks were twice what he could pay.

Merry Christmas 'Crusty, and welcome to the hearth this holiday! You have some esoteric cartridges there, I like it. I'm guessing you "roll your own" and not factory ammo? Seems the latter if you could even find it, would be quite expensive. -Tutt Still limited to factory stuff so far. Ye...

Howdy folks and a very merry Christmas. I've had leveritis ever since shooting a buddy's Browning BL22 in high school, but it took many years to get my first. I now am a wannabe collector who finds CAS interesting, but no idea where to try it out. Just snagged me my first 1873 in 38, and am itching ...
