Re: Shingles Vaccine
If Shingles comes from the chickenpox virus still in your system, why not just get a chickenpox vaccine instead as a booster?

Re: Overloading a Sixgun
I have a Silhouette S&W 29 that looks like that, except that the top strap is about 90 degrees to the bore. Not a double charge, but an undercharge of slow powder.

Re: How many here lap their revolver barrels?
I did a pair of Ruger Vaquero's in 357mag. Both leaded quite badly, but after lapping it stopped when I used the same loads. One rifle barrel too, but otherwise no.

Keith design. I have an Arsenal mould I use nowadays as my old Lyman 4 cav gets pretty heavy after awhile.

Re: Dirty Harry 44?
Tried to find a 29 at that time, none available. Ended up with a Super Blackhawk and later an 8 3/8 Mod. 29. Shot thousands of rounds thru those guns, special and full power rounds. Must have put 20K thru the 29 and at least 15K thru the SB. The 29 is pretty loose, really needs a rebuild ( any ideas...

Instead of a boring bar, maybe a piloted reamer kind of like a chambering reamer, to open the bore from 10 ga to 8 ga.

I shoot rifles and shotguns right handed but pistols left handed, but I can also shoot pistols right handed, just not as well, but close. Can shoot rifle and shotgun left handed also, just not as well. I am left handed, but mixed dominant. I can work on machinery left or right handed and sometime bo...

Re: Lawnmower Engines....
Have a Tecumseh on my Rototiller, that I inherited from my Grandfather. Gotta be at least 40 years old. Went to the shed today to get ready to put it to use after its winter snooze. Put some avgas in it,set the choke to full and about 1/3 throttle. Started on the first pull.

Re: Lawnmower Engines....
And Tecumseh engines, I considered to be one of the best engines, long ago. Have an older Kohler K141 that I think the electronic ign. has quit. No spark at all. No wonder the people were glad to give it to me. Checked on prices for the parts, not worth it. Too bad its not one of the point ign. types.

Re: .50 Alaskan Cases In a .50-110
Looking at case dimensions, the 50-110 case base diameter is .565" and the 50 AK case is .549", so you have a difference of .016" there. You would have a pretty good bulge there. Might work for low pressure loads but would have to use the 50-110 dies to size as would be afraid that if...

Re: Shingles vaccine
When I got the shingles, it took me about two days to realize just what was going on and went to see the Doc, telling him I thought I had shingles. He looked at it and said, "yep, I believe you are right" and gave me a prescription for an anti-viral. To combat the itch, I would take some H...

Re: Shingles vaccine
I had shingles about 3 years ago. Doc said I was good for at least another 5 years. Why not get a chickenpox booster instead? Isn't shingles just an expression of the chickenpox virus?

Re: Gas price update
OKC was $1.63 for gas and $2.39 for diesel last week. Denver has it for $1.82 and home is still probably $2.70's (my opinion is that the grinch is alive and well at home)
