How big do they get? Not OT because Nath shoots them and he is or was a levergunner. And if he has no more leverguns - but ah yes he has the 22 Mag. - he would truly be a levergunner emeritus across the Pond.

I have every confidence you could deal with the safety - I actually like it. But then - I like machinery. The last of the Pre Rem 39s were marked ORIGINAL GOLDEN 39A in gold letters. Pretty darn original! :?

Florence/Roebling is a pleasant little community that has not changed too much in 50 Years. Camden is a different deal - more like central Philly.

I wouldn't buy one - not nice enough for me but I think the 1990 era 94s were the best made, my 2005 25-35 is excellent also so I am open to new production.

Maybe the Marlin 375 or the Model 88 or the Marlin 1895SS. Has to have a pistol grip to feel best to me. Wrist can't really bend to straight stocks as well.

Tutt, I use the Pro Hunter as my basic bullet when looking for the most accurate load for a bolt rifle. Sometimes something else is better but I don't recall the Pro Hunter ever not being a good choice if not the best. Some rifles will do as well or better with boattails but if you look at Sierra's ...

Ruger 357 50th Year Flattop

Shot it this Sunday, love the size and handling seems to shoot great and the fit and finish is excellent. 1200 fps with 158 gr. Blazer ammo.

Re: Reloading question

Depends on the powder. Powders like 296 and 110 aren't supposed to be loaded below 90% volume but others like Bullseye do not fill the case.

The explanation is not correct in general.

Read the manual and use the proper amount of the correct powder and work up from the lower levels.

Not too much to this - almost a straight 500 fps difference with Blazer 158 gr. Jacketed. The Ruger must have a very smooth barrel NO jacket metal deposit in the bore. It is a 50th Year Flattop model. Just under 1200 average for the Ruger and just under 1700 for the Marlin.
