Yes, there will be some small amount of air trapped in that line. Not desirable but almost impossible to avoid without bleeding under pressure. The good news is that air is compressible and will "equalize" to the pressure of the fluid, so the gauge will read accurately nevertheless. Good l...

Is your barrel a replacement or a shortened factory barrel? I think most of the recent Marlin factory 1895s are 1:20 twist, some may even be 1:22 but I am not sure. I am afraid it is going to be tough to stabilize a 500-grain bullet at subsonic muzzle velocity with a twist less than 1:18 or even 1:1...
