Re: 1960’s Leupold On The Win. 94 Scope Ad’s.
. IIRC, Leupold wasn't the only game in town, at that time - other companies, like Hudson & Bushnell were offering LER & IER scopes like the Hudson Handgunner & the Bushnell 2x Phantom with a clip-on type mount that used the rear barrel sight area as a locus. http://www.gunvaluesboard.c...

Re: 1960’s Leupold On The Win. 94 Scope Ad’s.
I didn’t realize Leupold made scopes & mounts back in the day to Scope the Winchester model 94. I personally like the look of the Weaver side mount better than this setup. Maybeso, but the Leupold setup was considerably more practical and thought-out than the Weaver side mount in terms of: 1. n...

My Dad once tried it with a .270 on a porcupine, probably before I was even born. Always told me that the splinters made a mess out of the poor critter's entire underside and it needed to be shot again to be put out of it's misery.

I was at the new Rogers location on the day they first opened their doors and I've stopped in once since. Wallet didn't leave my pocket. It's quite a nice, big store with a whole lot of gun counter and it's pretty much priced like all the regular GM stores.

Yep, Leatherlyke bags are very nice. With one caveat: Shortly after I got the bags there was someone over on the VRCC (Valkyrie Rider Cruiser Club) site that had a bunch of sheet metal reinforcing pieces made for them and was selling the extras at cost. The idea is to add strength to the area around...
