My wife has a no lock 442 that looks like it's been run over. It has a set of Barami hip grips and has been carried and shot a lot. It shoots pretty good, but not as good as the old flat latch chiefs.

Yup. I agree 100%. I've had many chances also. No interest at all. No way its worth the cost and hassle.
Even as a combat tool, full auto is way overrated. The only effective use of it is in a belt fed machine gun.

Used to see a lot of those H&Rs around here. Almost all were in .22 however. They are really fairly serviceable revolvers. A lot of the ones I've handled had less than stellar triggers, but they were way better in construction and materials than today's inexpensive handguns.
