I've been around a few model 670s they were good shooters, i kind of compared them to the Savage 99 E

i find as i get older every thing hurts, my 2 favorite guns at one time was 375 & a 300 H&H not no more 45 colt in a carbine hurts with a heavy load & 300 gr. bullets, 44 mag in carbine or hand gun gets light loads for plinking, shot my 250 Savage 30 times last evening, no ill effects to...

I have an older one that was made in the early 60s, ive had it for 30 years & it still runs like a clock
really like the ease of loading & kicking out the emptys, it shoots very well but does not look to purdy
mine has a dove tail rear sight

My Savage 99 A in 308 gets the job done in fine style, not the most used lever gun i own, that honor
goes to my tack driver 99 E in 243, the 308 wins because of its power to down any large game in Wyoming

Yes seeing the sights again is a blast! a month ago i got a Kel Tec pmr 30, it has the tru glow or what ever it is on it, any way its fun to shoot & makes me a marks man again the last 20 years has been trying at best to see the sights on a hand gun, have to look for new sights for the 454 Alask...

One thing ive found out on some of the revolvers i have is that they all fire on Federal primers with cci i get a few fail too fire, they always go off on the second hit, these are 357 revolvers have a 454 in Ruger Alaskan it takes srp with cci it wont go off every time, with federal it goes boom ev...

I think you have a very nice old Winchester & one with a great bore & shoots is a big plus!
any time i load with a Lyman manual & run it over a chrony i get the same results
hand gun or rifle, always alot faster than the book?

Take a look at Tempo, cant say ive used it on bees, but grass hoppers & flying ants dont stand a chance
or any other creeping bug, i sprayed my spruce trees a few years ago, the hoppers were stripping them
bout an hour later the ground was covered with them all dead or close to it

have used them for many years, Lever. bolt & semi auto guns, they sure carry nice compaired to a scoped gun
but living here on the big wide open my favorite gun is my 99 in 243 with a scope
the last deer & antelope i shot was with a 94 in 25-35 that wares a tang sight

down too 3 now 243E - 375 A & a 308 A the 243 thinls its a target bolt action gun

I was easy on them today, had the 22 after them, no wind this morning
243 with a 58 gr Vmax around 3500 fps in a 99 leaves very little for the vultures

The last big powder shortage i ran across a bunch of TiteGroup & bought it, seems its a good powder from 32 H&R - 38 - 357 - 38-40 - 44-40 - 45Colt or 454, in fact i loaded 100. 357 today with 5 gr. of TG & 158 gr cast bullet, by the way it looks like you do a good job on the steel ollog...

I always carry some kind of gun, around my place this time of year the 642 is carried with 2 snake shot & 3 plus p loads of cast bullets, i have used snake shot on buzzers from 22 - 45 colt, cant say one is better than the other, they all killed them dead, when the one ton angus bull came at me ...
