Re: From John Taffin - THE RUGER-MARLIN IS HERE!

I suspect Marlin will take awhile to get production moving the way it needs to and reintroduce their signature lines of leverguns.
Hopefully they'll bring back numerous "limited/exclusive runs" of unique rifles like they used to do for Davidsons.

Lenn, I too, wish I were much closer to help you out a bit. I would drive my tractor over and plow you out. The old IH766 is a pretty good old gal. I set the timer 1 - 1 1/2 hrs ahead of plowing so she'll start somewhat warm. Much easier on the diesel. I threw a chain last week while plowing. First ...

Years ago (about 2001 or so) I got a good buy on a Marlin 45/70 Guide Gun. I hunted with it a few years, definitely shorter than I was used to - but it was pretty accurate. Decided I didn't like the ports (too darn loud and powder residue all over, me included). I talked to Marlin technical shop and...

Thank you Jim. Through the centuries, many have rejected Jesus Christ, and continue to do so. It's too bad they didn't have Tom Selleck overseeing the script and guns for period correctness. I've seen similar blunders in some of the old John Wayne movies as well. Model 92's and 94's in earlier period movies.
