Over on the Parker Gun Collectors site there is lots of detail on reloading 10 gauge for the 2 7/8 shells. It is in the reloading section. These are low pressure loads. I use them in my damascus 10 gauge double.

62 and my first 30-30
Well not really...I owned a 64 more than 30 years ago for a short time. Never handloaded for it. My lever guns have been 348's since I was very young. Some 308's in there as well in Winchester 88's. Recently delved into 35 Remington in a Marlin Glenfield. Great shooter. Just back from the range test...

CHPWS makes many red dot mounts that go in the scope mount holes. I use the small pistol red dots like the Trijicon RMR or Holosun 508 and 509 models. They work great.

Anyone here make 300 Savage brass from 308's. Just tried it and it is pretty easy and they seem to come out ok. I bought a lot of 400 surplus 7.62 x 51 ammo a while back that I have used up but saved the brass. Swaged the primer pockets and loaded some up for the 308's. those shoot just fine. Plenty...

I was brought up in a family where my Dad hunted with one. I inherited it and use it more now then ever. Also picked up a custom one nicely re-stocked with a Monte Carlo comb. Anyone have any experience with a Marlin 336 in 44mag? Thinking of picking up a lever gun in 44. Thinking of either an 1894 or 336. Kind of leaning towards the 1894 but would consider a 336. With the 336 longer action i wonder how the feeding works? Thanks for any info you would like to offer....

Back in the early 70's my Dad's eyesight got to the point he could not see the peep sights well enough. He had a scout scope set up (2X Redfield) done to his Model 71 348. Red dot sights work best for me. Easy on the eyes and very accurate. With a little practice they are faster for me than irons. Most of mine are milled for the red dot but my 1911 is a dovetail mount. They are very reliable and strong. Sage Dynamics Youtube videos have a lot of good info on them....
