I have a Marlin 1893 in 32-40 that was made in 1899. The bore is gone and I want to get a bore liner put in sometime. I have dies, brass and bullets waiting. I wish I could run across some of that John Wayne ammo. I remember when it came out in the 80's.

They are $139 per 1000 at our local gun shop.

I would get the mag primers if I were using H110 or 2400.
I would get the standard primers if I were using Unique or a powder like it.

Levergun barrrel relining

I have an old marlin 1893 in 32-40. The action is super tight but the barrel is shot out and pitted beyond help. I was think of doing a barrel liner. Has anyone got any advice or suggestions on who to get to do it? I already have 32-40 dies, brass and bullets.

I have been looking around and I can't find anyone that specifically calls out the correct front sight for the 1894 "CL" model. It's a pretty tall front sight that is wedged directly into the barrel. Maybe someone at Buffalo Arms will know exactly what sight I need.
