Gonna sidetrack a little bit with small caliber rifle. My favorite 223 load is 11.5grs BluDot with 50gr SP. It averages 2750fps out if a 20" barrel. Also do 9.4grs BluDot with 34gr HP. Havent chronied this one but it very quiet out of rifle and very mild out of a 10" Contender.

Jim, that matches the .22 WRF out of a rifle! Great load for squirrels and rabbits with out turning them in stew like a 17hmr or 22mag with holliwpoint do...

Scott, I've been shooting a Saeco 180gr gc'ed RNFP bullets I cast over 13grs of new 2400. Out of a 20" levergun its averaged 1670fps.

Paul Harrel filled pumpkins up with Orange soda. They blew up better that way especially with varmint type bullets. Hornady had Zombie bullets so guess this isnt to far off.

Ruger Security Six. 4" or 6" barrel. Depends on my mood which one I carry. Fit nice in an Air Force shoulder holster meant for a model 10.

Blaine, Modified for lead , is Full for steel, choke wise.After a "number" of rounds, steel will peen out the choke and threads. Eventually it will be hard to put choke in and out. I have no idea how many rounds that would take.

They are supposed to return to zero. The side has a 0 on it for when sighted it in so you can put it back to that spot.

How did you finally decide on this? You been asking alot of questions about various cartridges and guns, what was your process of elimation and decision? I spent 11 months deciding a red dot sight and 9 months on a cartridge and barrel length for a Contender carbine! Todd/3leg

Ive been shooting some 148gr WC's at 950fps (book velocity) Out of a 2 1/2" 357 SP101. Recoil is mild.
