The 28 gauge is like the 300 Savage, the 218 Bee or the 38WCF. Guys who are hunters and woodsmen know their worth. Plus I have a bunch of 28 shells around.

You dont need to reload to make it versatile or accurate. Therefore its the only rifle you need which you dont hafta reload for! Thats wh...

Ray, I used Hodgdons HS7 data for the 260gr JHP I think by Speer or Hornady. Also used Unique but didnt save the load data I chronoed and shot. Its averages 1075fps out of my 18" barrel.

Doc, a 325-400gr cast bullet at 800-1000fps would be a great penetrator and easy on shoulder. Was shooting 350gr cast at1100fos out of a 4.5lb Contender Carbine. The splash effect when they hit the berm was amazing.

Yes, but in a Contender Carbine. Some how have never tried it in my 1911 or Blackhawk. Todd
Bill, have shot it out of Blackhawk going about 900fps or so. Hit gongs with nice heavy "smack" and ring !

170gr has way more knock down power than the 150gr in 30/30.
32 Win Special is way more powerful than 30/30..
150 gr in .270 Win bucks brush better than the 130gr.
YMMV, todd/3leg
