I do it all the time to keep my hands warm. When it is 20 degrees and the wind is blowing, wet hands are COLD. Dry hands are much warmer.

Can't say that I shot any leverguns today - but I did take half the day off from checking cows and making hay to take the family to the lake and spend the afternoon in the boat. My six-year old daughter and three-year old son both had their first tube ride behind a boat. Lots of fun.

I had that exact rifle. It fed with no problems and shot accurately. But I hate recoil, and it hit pretty hard with full loads.

We're a week or two away from starting to hay. Then it consumes us for the next couple months putting hay together for a couple hundred head of cattle.

They work awesome! I've got a Ruger 77/50 that I use for muzzleloader hunting here in ND. I use 180 grain XTP .44 caliber bullets in sabots. My last deer shot was at 118 yards with open sites. Dropped him quick.

I've got both the flattop and the Vaquero in 44 special. Of the two, I shoot more accurately with the Vaquero. I don't know why, and it goes against the logic of adjustable sights being better for accuracy, but that's how it works for me. And since I never tire of showing pics of them, here they are...

You may want to consider the Lee Classic Turret instead of the Lee Pro. A bit slower, but MUCH MUCH MORE reliable. There's videos of it on Youtube if you want to take a look.
