I love MLB, started by going my first Reds game ? 1969 or 70. Saw em play last year in old Crosley Stadium, then first years in Riverfront. Started going to Braves game for our vacation every year from 1995-?2002 or 03? But the best of it was my youngest played from time he's about 8 till he graduat...

Re: If you love a Savage Model 99
Whew, yeah I love it. Never had a 99, but not from lack of want, and it's in 30-30 too! Only 99 I considered buying, I believe in 2016, was in pristine shape, but my only negative was it was in 308. Don't get me wrong, 308 great cartridge, but not what I want a lever in! I already got several 30-06 ...

I figured they were, but I don't recall ever seeing any or even mentioned, but I got my first 30-30 in 1981, and a box of Win PP's 170gr also. Still have the box and I believe 3-4 rds of the ammo.

But I agree, it's hard to beat a 30-30 for year around woods rifle! But I would like to tried a 32-20, but never had opportunity!

DD, the Finn Model 28 and 39 versions of the Mosin were well regarded. A 1943 Sako M39 I once owned was about my most accurate surplus rifle ever.
