I've had them all in repros. And had a great time shooting them all. They were all Pietta's and all were as accurate as my newly made S&W & Colts out to 25 yds.

When I first logged into this board 10 yrs ago,I asked about the Uberti '73 pistol & rifle and was told by most users then to use nothing hotter than a factory load. Evan Uberti said that!. Guess you all know more than the manufacturer. I know I won't come here for RELIABLE INFO again.

Gentlemen, I like O.T. .459 , 350 Gr. in the .45-70/ G.C. attached. 1900 FPS has been my max. At velocities that high you are bound to get some leading. A reasonable vel. would be 1500 F.P.S. At 1500 F.P.S. i can shoot a lot before accuracy drops off. You can't exspect velocities much over 1500 F.P....

I don't remember his name, but a few yrs ago there was a man posting here regularly with great success on bear, deer and I think, elk in canada with a .45 C rifle who was very successful. I believe he used 300 gr. bullets most of the time.

Mine is a Kimber Classic / Zeiss 4X14, Colt Woodsman , Marlin 39, Win.-Miroku '63. The Kimber will group .4 all day long at 50 yds . The woodsman is my latest and a pleasure in every way.

Fortunately I don't own the gun. I paid $287 for my Blackhawk through Davidson's 5 yrs ago. I have personally found comemoritves to lose value faster than the standards.??? Mostely the leverguns.
