Gentlemen, I just completed a very satisfying purchase from this site. Not a lever, but very pleasent Pete, I received the rifle at 2:00 pm, excitedly checked everything, cleaned and assembled. Re: OT Austen & Halleck ML purchase
Gentlemen,
I bought a mountain rifle from Pete, I particulurly wanted a 1 in 28" twist barrel. I can't understand allowing inlines on an old timey hunt, but I'm open enough to say, the twist was within 1830's Inventiveness. Not really fair thinking. I just like traditinal styleing.

I have complained before about OT threads and was told go to the active topics. I have seen , "How to buy a car", Slug guns, The best ammo for slug guns, What I did on vacation, ETC., on the active topic list. It appears that most users here now are bored children with a lot of nothing to ...

Sir,
If you can afford the Shiloh Sharps, that would definitely be the finest made. I have owned a Shiloh and the Italian replicas. The Italians don't compare in ANY way.

Strength question
Gentlemen, A 50-110 sharps develops very little pressure. The Ruger is considered the strongest of ALL. Shiloh says their rifles are as strong as a Ruger. Everything else falls behind the Ruger, Shiloh, and Brownings. The Ruger, Shilohs, Browning, and Late Winchesters are good to 50,000 PSI. Marlins...

Hobie, I like the way you think. I had a recent incident, recounted here, where I was able to avoid shooting somebody who was impaired and I am glad of it. Gentlemen, Nate Kiowa Jones was being VERY polite. If you don't have the ability to measure threads, you certainly don't have the ability to do ANY mechanical work on firearms. Ask a competent gunsmith to do the work before you injure yourself or someone else. This is not only for your safety, but o...

I had a fellow trapshooter almost shoot my right heel off last yr. The shoot was over and he thought he put snap caps in hisO/U. Stupidity such as my trapshooter, your reloader, and accidental shootings while hunting are the shooting sports biggest problems. You said he served two tours in NAM. SO d...

Sir I can't speak for '92s, But, I have a '63 Sharps that is pretty, but, has poorly engineered components; i.e., soft screws a loose barrel. I mean it started unscrewing itself under recoil.
