Sharp!. That's the configuration I like. Had to pass on a Savage pump action 30-30 last week. It hurt, but I'll get over it.

Re: Crossdraw for concealed carry?
Anyone prefer this to appendix/kidney/small-of-back on strong side? What are the concealed challenges? Thanks for starting this one. Been wanting to pick some brains here myself. Got a custom crossdraw being made now for my new SAA. It's a 5 1/2, so I thought cd might be better for a long bbl. I to...

Another vote for the 4 5/8" .45 Convertible. You won't be undergunned, (.45 Colt) and you can find ammo anywhere (ACP).

I've read of instances where some Commemorative models weren't well fitted at the factory and can use some improvement in timing, etc. I wouldn't let that deter me from acquiring one tho'. I'll be getting an aftermarket base pin ASAP, and eventually have a full tuneup done. All my other six-shooter...

Decades ago Commemoratives, and specials were really bargains. Often much less than a regular SAA from the same year. I remember back 30 years ago my buddy wanted a SAA and they were selling used around $1000 for nice examples that weren't that old. He found a Commemorative at a gun show we were at...

I snagged a WWI era small ring in 8mm that appears to have been sporterized in Europe somewhere. My gunsmith thinks it may be a "guild gun" built by an apprentice. Light weight and handles like a dream. Still need to let blood with it.

If you periodically check with Kittery Trading Post in Maine, you'll find a .35 in one form or another before long. Same with 38-55. It was extremely popular here, and I've ha...
