My Dad gave me the standard .22- used Mossberg 44B, and break open shotgun- a new Kmart Brazil made 20 guage. My first cash outlay was first my first deer rifle- A used Rem 700 ADL in .243, with a Redfield Widefield 2-7x.
My first new gun purchase was a Rem 541T .22LR.

Now I'm confused Bill! Are you saying that Winchester made the Model 12's frame for 12 gauge and another smaller frame for all three 16, 20 and 28 gauges? Or did the 16 gauge have a frame sized all for itself and another frame for 20 and 28 gauges? The Winchester Model 1912 was introduced in 20 gua...

There is a dealer at my local show that's had a 20 ga 31 the last two shows. I've been drooling over it. Probly 95% condition. Hope to bring it home next time. How much does he want for the 31? I think he had $700 on it. If I recall correctly, it had a pad added which kept me from taking out a loan.

First thing first- I don't like Walmart. But when it comes to ammo, I will swallow my pride. I have been checking in regularly at the one store in my area that stocks reloading supplies for six months or so. Stopped in a couple days ago and what do I see? Primers! CCI SRP's for 3.98 per 100. Awesome job! I have two or three 67s including a factory Junior model. They cant be beat as first rifles. IMHO, a cheap gun from that era is far better than most if the "stuff" they are passing off as guns now.

Curious as to whether this was a popular mod at one time. Anyone else have one or seen one? I'm sure it's not factory. I'm guessing the Red Ryder was the influence. This is a 52 model 94. Compass doesn't work, but maybe I can find a replacement.
