Default Brought the digital mail scale home from the shop today . Had to weigh the gun in pieces . Got 10 pounds 9 ounces for just the barrels , got 7 ounces for just the forend and the stock/action weighed 4 pounds 14 ounces . I put my mountain howitzer on the bathroom scale today to see if it weighed what the factory letter claimed . Granted this ain’t state of the art digital but you can get a semi decent reading within I’d say six ounces . The letter said SIXTEEN pounds and that’s what my older scale said as well . 26C...

I believe those are Pedersoli rifles . Uberti does not catalog an 1886 (but they do have an 1894). Uberti-USA is an importer, but I don't think they are owned by Uberti of Italy. A few years back when I was actively collecting mainly Marlin levers I always thought it would be really cool to have a WIN 1876 in 50-95 a WIN 1886 in 50-100/500-110 and a Colt in 50-95 . Never got any of the three !

Got my wits about me today and fixed the action in the vise . Removed the two trigger guard screws and gently lifted the guard out and turned about 60 degrees . And as I hoped the serial number was stamped in the wood 8) Also ordered a Parker letter for the gun today .

Amazingly I am still upright , breathing and actually have a decent idea of whats going on around me .

I love the A5 Browning, which the Model 11 is a loose copy of. Nothing wrong with the Model 11 that I know of. I do like the magazine cutoff on the actual A5's, which I don't think the Model 11 has, but it's not a deal breaker. I own several A5's and one FN made in the 20's. It was hard used before...
