I have shot them in my Single Six as well as in the Ruger American rifle with no issues. They are hard enough to get that you could probably trade them for Magnums to someone who has a WRF. Unless you just want some lower power loads. Someone gave me a box of 250 or so of these and I don’t know of ...

Javelina are rough on dogs. My grandpa and his friends hunted coyotes at night with hounds. I loved listening to the music of the dogs voices and trying to identify them. One coyote would run through a group of javelinas and get them really stirred up and when the hounds got there it was not pretty....

I think the spacing is right so that I can mount this rear sight where it is now or I can move it forward to the next set of holes if the front sight is not tall enough.

I don’t think Winchester was thinking about cost cutting. They probably wanted something lighter and handier for the low recoil smokeless cartridges they were developing.

You could also attach a pigging string from your billet keeper and tie the slip it through the saddle ring. Then you could just pull the loose end to release the rifle and pull it free. You really don’t want to leave a leather thong hanging loose from the rifle if you need to use it. Might get it ca...

I also always used a leather thong attached to the saddle ring that I looped through the forward cinch ring.

I’ve seen it looped around a lariat or tie out rope as well. Usually with a slip knot. If you look close it may be done that way in this photo.

It’s a great shooter. More comfortable with the .44 Special Skeeter load to be sure.

But even a 250 grain Keith over 22 grains of 2400 isn’t too brutal. At 18.5 grains it ought to be more better.
