I like paper! It must be a tactile thing. I can usually be within a few pages of where something is in a book that I want to go back and read.
Digital probably not.
Online articles sometimes seem to disappear never to be found again even after much searching.

Re: I was feeding the dogs when I heard the sound of radial engines
I was working in central America in the mid '8o's when a pair of P51's came roaring through a mountain pass I was in. I found out that they were sold as close air support to the country I was in.
What a joy to see and hear that! Felt like I was moved 40 years back in time.

Sorry to hear you're shutting her down.
I'm glad I was able to learn about sawmills some from the "Foxfire" books and the Woodwrights shop on PBS.
I still see some remains of old sawmills here in the Black Hills.
I'm a fan of doing things the old ways. They can be timeless.

Thanks everyone for telling these stories. I became a fan of the .45 colt from reading John's articles.
My first .45 colt was a stainless Redhawk with a 5 1/2"barrel. A couple of Blackhawks and a Win 94AE followed.

What bullet diameter for the 270 SAA .45LC to use in A .94 Win. Trapper and the large frame Blackhawk would you order from Montana Bullet Works?

Dusty Texian, are you referring to the bear dog? I wonder how far away he was from the cavalcade. I wonder if maybe it was a big brown Newfoundland.
