Re: Prepared to Shelter In Place.
So the hospitals are worried about being overrun by Covid sufferers. Well, with all the shelter in place orders they better prepare to see the delivery rooms overrun in about nine months. Look what a couple of days without power did to NYC. No kidding. Good thing we’re past child bearing years at o...

The sooner they declare the sooner they get more money from Feds.

Re: Rossi levergun
Also a fan. They do need Stevesgunz treatment. He seems like a real gentleman on the DVD. Replace the plastic follower and follow his directions. You’ll have a fine shooter. Mine have the mystery wood. I chemically stripped the .357 then oiled with Watco dark walnut. It looks nice. I left the .45 Co...

Re: Henry Golden Boy vs Winchester 9422
I like the Golden Boy but it never fit me. I have the lever action frontier octagon Henry. It is cheaply built reminds me of a Daisy air rifle. It shoots and functions fine. It is not even in the same zip code as the 9422 in terms of heirloom quality. My Dad had one when I was a kid. No checkering a...

Re: Gunsmith for lever guns
Doug and his son in law stayed overnight with me a few years ago as they were weathered in on a small plane (2seater) trip. He’s a decent fellow and they sent my wife some nice stuff as a thank you. I know he does high end heirloom work but man is it nice!

When the LDS church pulled their support that was the end of it.

Re: Tax the Trailbikers and Birdwatchers too...
Just like people who drive electric cars. They want free charging stations at malls, banks, restaurants, the apartment buildings and homes were they reside because they are "saving" mother earth. Saw with the gasoline tax being replaced by miles driven per year -- can't do that as they ar...

I’d do it in a flash. It’ll be a great shooter. JES is solid.

I would think that filling the case to the bottom of the seated bullet with Trailboss would work. Don’t compress it though.

BEST way to live if Bad Stuff Happens ('BSH', since '$HTF' is censored)... 1. in a remote area with a community of close-knit, similar-values, rural, independent, people, with a variety of skills, in a resource-rich, reasonably-warm, area that is hard to get to without serious time, effort, or equi...

Re: The Sig Got Out Of Jail A Few Days Early
Probably some of you guys are LE. My uncle was a state guy. He told me one time that in his training he’d learned that the instinctive shooter, maybe even one that had never even fired a handgun before, was the most likely to make a lethal shot. Makes sense that you guys practice instinctive. If I l...

Nice job on the sight. Looks great. I love projects like that. My Rossi is old so no bolt safety. Mine has an old 66 Lyman on it. That's a sweet looking carbine.... Say, when I'm up in your neck of the woods this summer, I will show you my buffalo coat. :D Now, never you mind what these boys say bo...

Re: Been having some great luck with Rugers lately.
That’s good shooting. I’ve got a Blackhawk Bisley in .45 Colt to go with my lever gun. I love it. I reamed the cylinder and throat to accommodate cast bullets. Made a huge difference in accuracy. I load 335gr WFNGC from Cast Performance in both rifle and revolver. I also have a .45ACP cylinder for it.

New Guy In AK
Rural SE AK resident for the last 24 years. Enjoy lever guns of all varieties, working on bolt guns, revolvers, and reloading. Keeps the cabin fever at bay this time of year. Over the past 4-5 years I’ve been taken with the stainless Puma/Rossi R92’s. Picked up Nate’s DVD and a few parts. Very helpf...
