Re: Lever Squirrel guns, what have you got?

Got an older 39A Marlin I bought in a tag sale in 93 for $20 it was rusty, both sights broken, looked like it was leaned up in a garage or barn. Wood had been poorly refinished. Which ones make better bullets 6 or 12 volt?

Never have done a battery melt though I have seen a few from freeway fires still in the vehicle. I do believe that some battery lead mixed with a little mercury would make a good bullet for varmiting in D.C.

Suggestion #1. Put the elevator back in at it's lowest setting, fold a piece of duct tape over the front sight. Trim all but 1/8th inch off and check it at 50yds. If too low, raise one notch on elevator. Or trim some tape off. When you are set for elevation order the proper hgt front. Suggestion #2....

Reminds me of when a fella asked my stepdad if he ever got snowed in. He lived in Swanson, Michigans Upper Peninsula about as far west you can go in Menominee county about 1/2 mile off the main road. He told him never did. I knew for sure he didn't, but then most folks didn't have a caterpiller in t...
