Re: HEY SIXGUN! Look what I found!

It's true! I'm not even sure what a dooryard is.
Back in N.Y. you had a stoop!
No coffee brandy, mostly just Guinness.
My great aunt had a home built here in 1964.
So, I've been coming up here for many years!
If you're not born here, you'll never be a true Mainer.

A quiet Christmas day, just the wife and myself.
Some fresh haddock and ocean scallops along with a few Guinness!
Unusually warm here in southern Maine!
I took my S&W 18-4 out for some rimfire plinking.
43-year-old Smith still shoots fantastic!
Merry Christmas!

I have a 1982 JM model. It's the one year where Marlin went back to the blue trigger.
Its lightweight, handy and shoots 357 & 38 spl. just fine!
Although I prefer my 1894 in 44 mags!

I recently handled a Ruger Marlin 336 in 30-30 for the first time. Super nice craftsmanship by Ruger!
I can still find 40-year-old Marlin JM's for much less. So far, I haven't purchased any Ruger Marlins.
That may change in the future. Anyway, I think Ruger is putting out some quality Marlins!
