For carry it's auto's. Colt lightweight commander 45 acp, or a old German M11 Sig P228 9mm.
I'm consistent with both therefore that's what I carry. There's always room for improvement.
The only reason I carry handguns is because my Winchester to big to carry on my hip! :P

This is going to sound crazy, but I would like to see a copy of the Marlin 1881 rifle.
I always thought that rifle had the coolest profile.

The cost of factory ammo is still pretty outrageous! $1.00 a round for ammo that was 30 cent's a little over a year ago! I think you've got it right Trailboss. That's true they shade the front site quite a bit. I don't think I've ever had one on any lever action rifle I owned!
Not a necessity for a hunting rifle. Where has Sixgun been hiding?

My local gun shop takes in one or two a month. Mostly 50 years old +
Generally speaking they don't last very long!
Most are gone within 48 hrs.!

I've never owned a Smith J frame before. That look's really nice, especially with the finger grove wood grip's!
Look like it's the perfect size to carry when you don't feel like carrying a pistol.

My local shop has one for $450.00 It's used, but it looks brand new!
Mint condition in 357 looks like 18 inch barrel.
I'm not sure if it's old or a newer manufactured Rossi.
