a .305" bore might not be too bad. What is the groove dia? Did you check the muzzle crown? As said, a .310" cast slug might work well in the gun. Did you clean the gun first to get rid of any fouling the barrel might have had? With jacketed, you might take some .308" jacketed bullets ...

My Great Grandmother was the oldest. I was 21 when she passed. She was born in 1879 in Texas. I used to kid her about breakfast and her liking bread crumbs on her stick of butter (Her toast). She mainly talked about horse and buggy days and life on the farm.

Don't need one to clock a car. I have a handheld baseball unit that would work well for that. Acutally, the Lee liquid alox would be the easiest to try, followed by powder coating, Both pretty easy though. Powder coating less messy and quicker.

When a lot younger, I used to load round balls in a 45 auto "Star". Had to cut a coil off the recoil spring, but they shot well and functioned the action. I have used a .500" ball, powder coated, in a 50ae BFR that shot very well at 50 ft.

I use it some. Sometimes when a boolit casts a bit big, its tough to run it thru the Star sizer, so I put a very thin coat on, let dry, and then they are easier to size.
