I think the difference would be more noticeable using expanding jacketed bullets. I agree the 44-40 is under appreciated, but implying it is just as good maybe counter productive. Thanks. I just edited the music to better fit the timeline/ending and allowed original sound as well.....a mix I guess it's called.
My plan is to keep the videos short, under 8 minutes, to keep out advertisements. I am not looking for long videos to make money.

Here is an interesting photo showing the up to 300 yard Third Class target. The target in this photo was used at 200 yards. There is no way I can hold or see steady enough now days to hit this thing off hand....with open or peep sights!!

Standard sscope base spacing is 7.2" for 1/4" clicks, or 10.5 for 1/8" click adjustments. Anything else will work, but you need to learn what your spacing does for your rifle and mounts. I've never owned a Hi Lux Malcolm so not sure if their scope mount adheres to what all other targ...

Added a few more targets to the collection today. I pulled in the 100 yard group on two targets. 19 shots on both targets grouped 3 1/2" at 100 yards...with the cold barrel high shot...seems consistent. No further scope adjustments needed there for the zero-in range dial decals noted for 25, 50...

You have a GREAT idea but really should consider standardizing the target with one people can buy or order anywhere. The purpose is to prove the accuracy of the cartridge, not the shooter....b...

I guess they didn't have alibi's those days for rounds that don't fire. Is that what you meant by a misfire, a round that never went off? And really that would not be unusual to not allow alibi's, as there are matches that don't allow a refire for a squib or dud, I'm just thinking of the last match...
