Nice! They do come in handy, and good idea about padding the bottom.
But if your bride is like mine, she'll get tired of lifting it -- so instead, we got a Gorilla Cart. It rolls, dumps, pulls easily and is very stable. It's also made with a taller tub, if needed.

Hi Jay: You didn't mention whether the wrench/tool you're using is gripping them good enough or not, but maybe you could do all the above (the heat cycles & Kroil/penetrating oil) and then drill out the nipples enough to use an Easy-Out (reverse-threaded tool that you pound into the drill hole)....
