I traded some guns and got a like new Winchester Trapper in .357. It does have that ugly cross bolt safety. I've been reading up on how to remove it. One article said to buy black nylon plugs to fill the hole from a hardware store. Have any of you done this and how's it look, or is there a better way?

Doesn't NY already have strict gun control laws? I read he had a "high power" rifle but later it was determined to be two handguns. I feel sorry for those victims and their families. If only one person there had a gun, many lives could have been saved.

I saw a .410 Marlin XLR on gunbroker today for $799. It's states it's a limited run. I don't know if this is good or not. I remember someone awhile back looking for a lever .410. They also have a Winchester but it's a little more and used. I couldn't figure out how to put up a picture.

I bought one last year from a forum member for my 12 yr. old son. He loves it but I think I shoot it more. It has a very slick and smooth action and is a blast to shoot. I say go for it. That's a fair price.
