I was told when we entered our troop that as a dad I should know when to push and when to back off a little bit. But I was advised to see that my son got his Eagle before the fumes got his attention. What fumes asked I??????????????????? Gas fumes or perfume he replyed.

It sounds like most of us are pretty happy with that little ol 357. When used within reason it is quite a performer, on man and animals. There are times when a "bigger hole" is nice to have along though.

The school my son attends is 6 miles from the closest town. If the town cop is on duty your looking at 5 minutes to get there. If he is off duty your looking at 25 minutes for the county cop. WAY too long. I have preached for years that staff should be armed, but I just an over cautious alarmist.

I would go with my 44 and hope to come across a big un. I think my 357 would work, but what's wrong with having a little more than you need. As for the "how big is big enough" thing, I am using these as examples because these are what I own.
