Here is my most used hunting rifle. It's a Winchester 94AE in 30-30 and I have carried it for many years and last season my youngest son got his first deer with it.

Band of Brothers and Lonesome Dove are my top two mini series ever. I really like how Band Of Brothers takes you from boot camp through the end of the war. Lets you get to know the people in the show and grow to like them. When/if something happens to one of them you feel a sadness. Like losing some...

Re: New (To Me) Marlin Original Golden 39A
The lever on mine was quite floppy - it would drop about 1/2” to 3/4” with the action closed. Anyhow, some of the remedies I read about suggested a spring was broken and needed replacement. I was dreading this as finding and importing that sort of stuff is a nightmare these days. I partially disman...

Re: New (To Me) Marlin Original Golden 39A
Good find. They are great rimfire leverguns. About a year ago I picked up one, a Mountie, that was made around 1960. I bought it sight unseen at auction and unbeknown to me it had the floppy lever syndrome. Anyhow, after a bit of google investigation it needed a bit of tightening and adjustment. Fo...

I have wanted one of these for a long time now but just never came across one in person. Never even knew anyone who had one. Not sure if you mean New Model Super Blackhawk or just a newer one.
Mine was made in 1997 but it is a New Model Bisley. I very much like it. Just shot it for the first time yesterday.
