Yes, the factory steel is tough to get the last few cartridges in. If you remove the floorplate from the mag, there is a plastic spacer in there that really doesn't do anything. If you remove it the mag will still work fine but be easier to load. I use the Ruger polymer mags in the 5 & 10 rnd. ...

Thanks for all of your responses. I probably won't do anything with it's trigger. Have to shoot it first to know for sure. It's wasn't bad when I "snapped" it a couple of times. Even though it's not supposed to hurt to dry fire certain guns I really never like to do it without fired casing...
