I like my guns small and concealable if need be. I have a very thin frame so hiding a revolver is hard as it is, but would only be harder with a longer barrel.

I had a Springfield MIL-SPEC model once upon a time. It was a great gun and didn't break the bank. It had a few minor upgrades from the GI model but the big thing that sold me on it was the sights. Much better sights than the GI model.

Up here in NW PA we had snow on the ground until about noon on Monday. Didn't help me out at all though. I saw two doe run through but my doe tag is for another WMU. No bucks to be had that day. We'll see what happens this weekend.

If you are so worries about those buzzards, grab your 10/22 and go to town on 'em. I've seen a lot of turkey buzzards around here this year. A nice head shot with a .22 rifle seems to take care of them pretty well. I'm sure it will take care of yours too.

After market mags are not usually a good idea for the 10/22 unless they are of excellent quality. Just stick with the Ruger 10 round factory rotary magazines or if your desire is hi-capacity look to the Tactical Innovations TI-25 mags. I'd love to have a suppressor on my Rossi 92 44MAG for use with 44SPL loads. Just get the barrel threaded - you'll need to shorten the magazine tube by one round (or more if you want). I forget the standard thread size/pitch for .45 ACP type guns, but a .45 ACP suppressor should work fine with subs...
