Re: OT-Put my foot down last night at home
Heh. Mine kicked me out of the house, annexed the spare room for her scrapbooking. I'm relegated to the garage, which is large enough for six (smallish) cars if I took all the cr*p out. I'm happy, she's happy. She's even insisting I drive a thousand kilos to attend a silhouette shoot, just because s...

Re: OT - Religious question
I only ever spent time with one baptist, but he sure made me appreciate this joke. I was walking in San Francisco along the Golden Gate Bridge when I saw a man about to jump off. I tried to dissuade him from committing suicide and told him simply that God loved him. A tear came to his eye. I then as...

In all fairness, your body's warranty pretty much expires at 40. Remember, not that long ago 40 was old old.
Now we live longer, but only because life's a whole lot easier.
Me? I've been going downhill from 35. The world is not built for tall people.

People who take firearms/hunting seriously don't have "accidents"... ... mostly. We had a case here in South Africa about two years ago. Someone shot at something (sorry, I don't remember the details), bullet bounced off a rock and killed one of the party. Yea, you could say he shouldn't ...

Heh. This sounds soooo familiar. Number of years back I got this 336, 30-30, microgroove. Over here it takes a year or more for a licence for a specific gun, so you can't just trade it for something more accurate. Started with, oh, 7" or so 5 shot groups at 100 meters/yards. Messed around. Chas...

Pax is one of the mods over on thehighroad.us.
If someone, anywhere, asks "what gun for my wife" (1) my stock answer is "whatever she wants, but make her read Pax first".
(1) In the sense of "arming my wife" not "what gun for zombie", OK?

Hiya KirkD and all Ken Waters lists the max load for Group two rifles as 19 grains of IMR SR4759. Next loads will be 18 and 19 grains of SR 4759. If I can't get 1,500 fps with the 19 grain load, I may have to go with 2400. I get the impression that you're regarding Ken Waters' max load as the max lo...

Start with a Lee anniversary kit. Everything you need, not expensive.
Then in a year's time, give the anniversary kit to a kid and buy what you want, you'll know by then what it is that you want.
Although many people who went this route stuck to the Lee in the end

Winchester 1873 B-suffix
Hi all
A friend latched on to an 1873 with serial 511xxxB. He's curious about the B suffix -- does it mean anything specific?
I have a '94 with an M suffix and have been told it's because it's a (44) Magnum.
Thanks
