I just tried putting a couple of .30-30 rounds in the magazine of one of my Mosins, and it wouldn't hold them. 7.62x54R is a bigger round, and the .30-30s just weren't fat enough. I suppose you could try fiddling with the interrupter, but I don't know if there's enough material there to make it work.

I meant no offense to anybody. I see that several are bothered by the title. Honestly, it never crossed my mind that it might bother some; I just needed a title, and that one was relevant to the joke. I'll happily change it if someone has a better suggestion.

about a year ago someone seems to have found a wolverine alive in SE Michigan... I think in Genessee county (thats the Flint area). I dont remember the details but they ran some video on the news Wolverines have been thought to be extinct in Mi for years... Of course the DNR said the same of Cougar...

That's pretty cool seeing eagles in your own back yard. I just saw on the news today that a peregrine falcon was spotted right in downtown Saginaw. They got pretty good footage of it too.

The safety's really not that bad. I can see how it would be pretty useless for hunting purposes, but as far as safeties go, it's very positive, and not nearly as difficult to operate as some think.

Dad gave me his old Daisy 1894, but as for "real" guns, my first lever was a Winchester 94AE Ranger, and my second was a Marlin 336A. So far, those are the only two I've got.
