I had a Ruger M77/22 Hornet for a while. I bought it brand new when they first come out. It shot OK with the 45gr SP bullets. I killed six whitetails and two wild hogs with it. I did find a load that shot .5" five shot groups at 100yds. I used the Sierra 52gr BTSP, H110 and a small pistol prime...

I have some questions about handloading the 357 Maximum for use in a rifle.
What is the correct primer to use? Small rifle or small magnum pistol?
Also, anyone use the 357 Max in a Handi-Rifle? Will it shoot cast boolits accurately?

FLINT, another option for some 10GA Buckshot would be to go to BPI and get a 10 Gauge Roll Crimper, some over-shot cards and 8lbs of 00Buck. You could carefully cut the folds off a 3 1/2" turkey load, replace the turkey shot with the same weight of buckshot, place an overshot card on top of the...

A suggestion to tighten those patterns would be to try an over-shot card and a roll crimp. I only use factory 3 1/2" 00's in my 10 gauge, but in the 12 gauge I have noticed better patterns using a roll crimp. BPI has most everything for shotshell reloaders.
