I'd take a 180 gr. .357 bullet going 1700 fps, or a 200 going 1600 any day over a .223. Much easier snap shooting a rifle with a quick hammer or lever rather than racking a round into semi auto; rifle or pistol. Extended trip. Poor eyesight. Weight restrictions. Targets ranging from critters to dangerous prey. The divergent requirements make this a pretty tough call. The moment we start talking bears, pigs and mountain lions, a .22LR is out. Heck, a pistol cal .357 doesn't exactly give me a warm fuzzy there...

Glocks never seem to do anything for me. It feels how it looks, that is to say plastic.
About the only reason I'd even think about one would be for 10mm, and even then I'd probably want a 1911 build or something else.
