I have had the pleasure on several occasions to talk with him. He is from my neck of the woods back in Michigan. The guy is one of a kind to say the least. He is blunt and to the point on many issues. I my opinion, he tells it like it is. He is also on Glen Beck quite often.

One of my primary 1911 holsters in the field is a El Paso Threeperson's. It's a great holster for the 1911 while hunting.

I have tried to contact a seller on Gunbroker that makes stag grips. He says in his ad's to contact him if you don't see what you want. I have a half dozen times and have never heard back. Don't know if he is getting my emails or not.

I am headed over to Sheridan for the 4th of July weekend to visit and relax. Does anyone know the hot spots to visit?? The wife and I are looking to put down roots in that area in 10 years or so. Just heading over to check it out and see whats around.

Well, I can tell you that a pry bar will not open this safe. I will challenge anyone to try. Now opinions on safes is the same as buying a Ford vs GMC. Everyone has there own flavor that they like. Are you shooting with the original rear sight?? If so you might want to look into a peep sight for the rear. That had helped some folks dramatically. Look for a Skinner or Lyman. Might just make those groups tighter

I have one. I think its rated for 45 long rifles but I have around 40 in this particular safe and it is FULL. It is a good safe for the money and heavy. Empty I believe it is around 900LBS. We still have a few Model 12 riots guns in the inventory(USAF). They are a blast to shoot and are built like tanks. I also have a 1927 and 1936 vintages at the homestead. One of the finest shotguns ever made.

I have the XD in 45 and love it. I am more of a 1911 man, but they grow on you. Now isn't the time to buy the XD-M in my opinion. Give it a few months to a year until the (newness) price comes down.

You did good on the price. I picked my 2nd M1A up two weeks before the election for $1250. A few weeks after there were up to $2K if you could find one. I have multipleblack EBR's, but the M1a IS BY FAR THE BEST. If your looking for extra mags, 44mag.com has the Factory Checkmate's for $20

The current standard like Hobie stated is the Breakfree/CLP. You also have LAW and LSA along with LSA-T. I have also been told that 10W-30 works great on the M2 but never tried it :mrgreen: As far as the middle East goes, no matter what you use, the sand will still get to it. Trust me
