OTH,
Just a small tip for close up shots that most digital cameras have. Somewhere there is a button to push that when pushed a Cauliflower looking thing comes on in the screen meaning better clarity "UP Close" I am sure your camera has that button somewhere. Hope it helps.

Leverevolution and the 30-30
Happy Easter everyone ! Im up at the cabin doing what else....Shooting and Raking. Tried the new Leverevolution Powder yesterday in my 30-30 Marlin. A few years back Hobie got me started on a great load using IMR 3031, and the 170 gr. Hornady bullet. I chronnied that load at 1990 FPS yesterday, and ...

You can get a firing pin at Numrichs or Gunbroker has used ones listed under Marlin 336 in the small parts section. If your Gun has a crossbolt safety that could be another "problem" spot. My nephew had his not working properly, and would not fire when safety was pushed to the fire positio...

There is 1 review on the cylinder. The buyer stated it fit properly, but didnt turn. He used an emory cloth to finish off some sharp edges, and it now works fine. be interesting when more reviews are posted.

Been wanting to work on a load for my new to me Marlin 336 in 35 Rem. Its an older (1981) RC model that I mounted a 1.75-6 Leupold VX3 on. I bought a F1 Shooting Chronny and this past weekend put everything through the Mill up at my cabin for 3 days. Maybe this info can help you decide on a load for...

Uncle Sam is buying me one of these real soon. In fact he already sent me the money for one, but I just cant decide on what barrel length. I am leaning toward 5 1/2, but the 4 1/2 looks handier. As soon as I can make up my mind I will order one ! My wife thinks im Crazy !

It is a tougher bullet than the Hornady, but as you mentioned it also has a better BC, and I believe you can get it to 2200 FPS + which would be a tough combination.
