Thanks for a great post, I have a 1894s in 44-40, loaded mostly unique, Rl7 or 2400, put a scope on it just to test how well it shot used above powders in 200 - 265 gr. Hornady & 200 - 240 cast bullets of Lee & Lyman molds with gc I was shocked how well the micro grove bbl shot cast bullets ...

Ebay has a few 6x leupold scopes, not cheap but if a guy takes his time some times you can do all right
bought a 6x leupold 30 years ago, it has held up to many thousands of magnum rounds and now sits on top
of my nifty Ruger RSI in 250 savage Great Scope!!

That is the kind of 308 I've been looking for! most of them are pricy ( at least around here ) no matter what the condition is

the 375 is a great cartridge right along its side is the 38-55 in a Marlin CB, My Dad gave me a 94 BB in 375, I took it hunting and shoot antelope & deer with cast bullets with deadly results, I passed the gun on down to my son a few months ago but I still have a 99 savage in 375 that shoots muc...

AJMD429 That mini I have whips the brass in any direction but over to the left id need a 50 foot tarp to catch them all :lol:

don't mind losing a few but new 300 BL if I go that route might warrant the tarp treatment

AJMD 429 from what you have said about the 300 BO its starting to make me lean that way, I have a lot of mini 14 mags, I like all the reloading data for it, have shot a few sks & ak guns but for me the mini 14 with the synthetic stock just fits me the best, ive killed moose & elk with bigger...

So far I like the idea of the mini 30 & so do the guys that own them on here, did not know the mini came in 300 BO that would be close to the 7.62X39 with a lot more load data going for the BO & heavy bullets, as far as a nail driver shooter I don't care, if it shoots like my mini 14 off han...

Thanks Gunny, some plinking with the gun would be normal, but mostly a just in case you have to run gun, I do hand load so would have a good supply of ammo, home defense gun not likely, have others that are set up for that

Most of the time I cast my own, some times I have run low, I tried Missouri cast bullets sample pack in the coated Varity
was real happy with them, have used laser cast, also good bullets

I cooked up some mystery metal today also, cut some of it with the saws all, it was in about 2 foot kind of triangle bars also cut some tin, the mystery bar cut harder than the tin, so I threw the mystery metal in with about 2lb, of ww it had a lot of gold colored dross, I fluxed the heck out of it ...
