Take a look at the Beretta 21A Bobcat. A true pocket pistol. Single/double action auto with the Beretta "tip-up barrel" feature allowing you to chamber/unchamber a round without jacking the slide. Neat, very well made. Once you get used to the "tip-up" feature (activated by pushi...

Need another chuckle or two? The Cleverlys shoot skeet

First one is just an intro to the Cleverlys. Note the upright bass player, Miles. He's the front man's brother, and he's blind.

In this one, Miles shoots skeet.

Need a source for a M92 tang sight

Can anybody recommend a good source to check for a vintage tang sight for a Winchester M92? I need a Lyman "1A DA" or "2A DA" model. Doesn't need to be in mint condition. Any leads would be very much appreciated. I watch eBay, but haven't seen what I want there.

If there's any way you can swing it, get the vintage Winchester. I bought one of the Brownings, and the trigger was unbelievably bad. Pull was long, gritty, and extremely heavy; the heaviest I ever experienced in a rifle. I got rid of it. Decent looking, but nothing you'd ever want to shoot.

In the early years of the Model 71, either the "sporting rear sight" (the semi-buckhorn dovetailed to the barrel) or the "Winchester rear peep sight No. 98A" (the bolt peep) could be had on the standard version or what we call the "deluxe" version. Oddly, there was no e...

That is Savage's headstamp. They made/marketed a line of Savage-headstamped ammunition in the first half of the last century, ending in 1963. They were the actual manufacturer of their ammo from 1900 to 1927.

Another excellent bit of advice is to locate a neck sizer die for the .348. Most of the wear & "stretching" you see happens in the full-length sizing operation. When the metal is "squeezed" back to original size in the sizing process, it has only one place to go - the case be...

The best single bit of advice anybody can give you for loading the .348 is to get the Lee Factory Crimp die. If you try to use the "roll crimp" method (built into most bullet seating dies) you're going to get inconsistent crimps, and likely buckle a fair number of cases, unless you trim al...

When Winchester laid out their product-release plans, the Model 70 was supposed to be ready for release before the Model 71, hence the numbering. Problems in development, however, caused the Model 70 to be delayed. The result was that the Model 71 was released before the Model 70. The generally acce...
