Re: Remington 870 with rifle sights and modified choke

After I had that bear hanging around I decide to dig my 870 out of the safe, stick the slug barrel on and stoke it with rubber buckshot. Then where to store it? Ahh yes a gun magnet! I mistakenly ordered a 75 lbs magnet, got lost then refound in transit. So I mounted the magnet under the shelf on th...

That has been the million dollar question since it was released!
Seems like there was a ton of hype about it that has since become crickets. Kinda like the 327 Federal.
Nothing wrong with the 32's , just have to be one of the cult to appreciate it I guess.

A month ago I had an appointment to have 4 recalls done on my truck. I waited for it. They could only do 3 at the time. The last was going to take a day at least. My 70s vintage 870 I got second hand with both a 28" modified choke and 20" slug barrel with I/C choke. One of the longest deer kills was with that iron sited barrel. 127 paces through the heart. To answer your question, I don't think Remington made their slug barrel with anything other th...

I never bothered to wring out the costs of rifle or pistol. However, when I was shooting a ton of trap loads I could put a box of 12ga out for about 2 bucks . Of course that was when you could buy shot for $9 a bag, wads were almost free and buying cases of primers, 12lb kegs of powder. Boy I miss t...

You will find the bushmaster easy to load for, I've tried almost all the powders suitable and all have delivered very good accuracy with 250gr bullets, XTP and the Hornady tipped. I'd like to try some 300's but it's not that big of a priority.

Indestructible they can certainly be BUT any part can break on any make. I've always looked at the small cast parts with a sideways glance as points of failure.
