That is a nice bit o kit ya got Jay! Buddy of mine has his great grandfathers 86 that was bought new, he has the Winchester bullet mould and loading tools. That mould dropped a beautiful bullet! He still elk hunts with that 40-65.

Pitchy- if you have an old junk of carpet just hang it behind your archery target- if ya miss the bales itll stop most any arrow and not perforate your shed!

Otherwise another great build !

I remember seeing slo-mo video of the S&W semi autos, it sure looked like the slide stuttered & stammered in motion, the slide stop lever flapped like a dumbocrates lips when recoiling- BUT they work!

I've always enjoyed making my oun pistol shotshells, just sacrifice 1 case by inside / outside chamfer to get a sharp cutting edge, the cardboard primers come in make great 'wads' . Light tap with a hammer and cut all you want. Use light powder charges of your choice and a heavy crimp and ya got bum...

Here on the east coast we have a new invasive insect, the spotted lantern fly. Then flush just like a bird- I'd love to have a smooth bore 22 just for shooting these Chinese invaders!

My Excalibur has 240lbs draw weight and it will put a 400gr carbon bolt clean through a bag type target, gotta put a second bag behind one another.

Looks like you thought it through to the last detail! The elevation ratchet is great! Only thing I see that might be a benefit would be 2 more handles on the crank but that's not too important. Impressive piece of engineering!! Now for a range report please.

I'm thinking you got this used, I'd bet the previous owner tried to do a trigger job, screwed it up and unloaded it. Track down a sear and maybe even a trigger and replace.

However take the barreled action out of the stock and look at the engagement surfaces, bet there isn't much engagement...

Yeah the only thing green here the trim on the house,shop & shed! The yard is mud between the frost in the ground and the inch of ice on top. I'm going to need a tiller myself, with all the rain we had here and the dogs my grass is gone!

They have quite a large retail store now, a trucker buddy of mine stops there occasionally. From what he said the store has just about the whole catalog on display.

Yup love my Red Label 28!

GK- there is a company now making a tri- barrel in 410,28, cant remember the name now. It's your usual SxS with the 3rd barrel as the top rib. The reviews were good.
