12 gauge is .729-.730, so I dont see how it couldn't be done. Although I bet you might have a hard time finding a barrel for .700 .

I've got a couple battle packs of Hirtenberger 7.62, it's HOT stuff! Goes through 1/2" mild steel at 200 yards. Wonder if that mag would work in my Armalite... Oh what am I saying - anything more than 10 is against the law here!!

I was thinking the same except trade squirrels for elk... though I suppose it would be hard to get a helmet around a 400" 6 point rack!

Buckshot, 4buck up to OOO are legal for deer, not bear. 'Pumpkin balls' are not. Only reasoning I can see for them being illegal - pumpkin ball could be the accuracy issue, be kind of interesting to try them through a rifled barrel or choke tube.

As far as I remember GK he apprenticed at 14, learned the trade and was then sent to South Africa to run a shop for W.R. , left that and became a game ranger then came to the US. I learned a lot from him, wish I learned more! 6pt- that's quite the collection you have! I'd really love to see them all...

I had some time to tinker with the Sheridan this afternoon. I put a drop of oil into the OIL hole, worked the pump a few times and then another drop of oil. I'm thinking the seals were dry. Shot it in the basement, has enough oomph to put a nice dent in a dry 2x4, flattening the pellet about in half...

GK, I don't have much hope for the Hy Score, although it's German made. Probably find the seals for the Sheridan but it might take some deep searching.
