Re: Little Help With a Kid

Hi Tom As I live in the UK I can't recommend any specific books, but would suggest taking her to your local library. Let her look around the children's section and she will soon find books that both interest her, and are designed for her age group. My 6 year old son has been learning to read for the...

A member on one of the UK forums is sending me some thin adhesive backed rubber, I'm going to try that first and see how I get on.

Managed to find a UK supplier who does a grind to fit one, will probably go with that.

Replacement butt pad for Browning BL-22

Hi Guys I am finding the plastic butt pad on my BL22 slides about on my shoulder during cocking. I would like to replace it with a rubber version but cant seem to find any details of a direct replacement. Does anyone know if a rubber butt pad from a Marlin or other lever gun would fit? Alternatively...

...for lever guns. :) 2nd time at the range last night with my Anschutz, fitted a small scope to it so I could really see how accurate it was, and was surprised by the results.

I want one in 357 mag now. :D

Update

Well, thanks to Danny's suggestion I have had an exchange of emails with a really helpful guy at Brownells called Steve. It turns out the dovetail on the rifle should be a standard 3/8, so all I need to do is let them know the height I need and they should be able to supply me with something that wo...

Do you know of any that are designed for the BL-22?

Fitting fibre optic sights to BL-22

Hi Guys

I am thinking about getting these

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=2603 ... IRE_SIGHTS

for my BL-22. The ad says they will fit the BLR, does anybody know if they will also fit the BL-22?

Cheers

Re: First shoot with new gun yesterday

I think the engraving was done at the factory, it doesn't look like it's been added afterwards.

Nath, so far just CCI standards. i'll have to go through the whole trying loads of brands to see what it likes. Hopefully it will like CCI as my other rifles do and it's easier to just by one brand.

Re: First shoot with new gun yesterday

I'm sure it is accurate with the open sights. In fact I was getting reasonable groups after about 50 shots, it's just that I'm used to a scope and have a nice little 1.5x5 sitting at home getting dusty. :D And as you asked so nicely, more pics http://inlinethumb03.webshots.com/45442/2386022080057383...

First shoot with new gun yesterday

I picked up a very nice little 22LR underlever at a gun show last weekend and took it to the range for the first time yesterday. I love this thing. The action is very slick, and considering I was shooting it with the open sights (which were off, and which I haven't used since I was a kid) ...

Hi guys Picked up a new rifle yesterday, an Anschutz ML-22. Having now done some research, this appears to be the same as a Browning BL-22, and also manufactured by a company called Miroku. :?: My model appears to a BL-22 grade 2. What I'm trying to work out, is if it's made by Browning and just sta...

Bought my first underlever today :)

Went to a gun show at Bisley today, which is the home of the NRA in the UK. Picked up an absolutely mint Anschutz ML 22. As far as I can tell, it's the same as a Browning BL 22 grade 2, I guess just made under licence by Anschutz. Got to wait until Thursday until I can shoot it.

Erma rifles

Hi All Still searching for a 22LR lever action, and I have come across an Erma rifle in a local firearms dealer. I can't seem to find much info on this maker, other than that they are German. If you ever get the chance to see it at the cinema in 3D, go and see it. The film was awesome, but in 3D it's mind blowing.

22LR underlever advice

Hi guys I have been busy reading threads on here, and a couple of other forums, and have narrowed my choice down to either a Marlin or Browning 22LR underlever. It often amuses me that in the UK we are massively restricted with gun ownership compared to the US, yet can get suppressors (or moderators as they are generally known here) with ease. Go figure.

Ah, I see. 22LR is the only semi auto we are allowed over here. My licence allows me 3 22LR's in total. I got the bolt action first, then the semi. I could have gone for a Ruger 10/22 or similar, but have always liked military style rifles. I was going to go for a GSG5, but ended up spending 3 times...
