Dang, I got about 25 rounds through that 1886 ELR today.......Gentlemen, I have a new hunter. Using the Lyman 66 as a ghost ring, I was hitting minute of deer, offhand, on stuff at 180yds or so.....Now, I understand....maybe the Marlins won't get as much use as before..... :oops:

Before I could afford to shoot/reload centerfire, I carried a .22 AirLite.....still do sometimes.........If it's winter and it's wearing a coat, I would use the Wall 'O Lead towards the nose technique :wink:

What do you reckon? Wonderful, 95% condition EXCEPT somebody had installed some butt-ugly sling swivels. If it's the rifle you want, go for it. If you want a nice 22M, look for a 9422M, or a Marlin 1894 in 22 mag. I just never cared for the Levermatics.....I just don't think they're worth what they...

I've only bought Green Box 170s.....they were the first ones I tried and they shoot into an inch, usually less, at 50 yards. If I were to use it for elk, I'd get a premium bullet like Nosler for penetration.

Recently got a Sheridan Silver Streak from a Formite. Nice Rifle! Hit's hard and is accurate. Question: If you pump it up, how long will it hold that pressure close to 100%? AND, is it even advisable to keep it pumped up, without discharging, for periods of time (hours? days? etc)
