Re: The Forgotten 16 Ga. (good article)
Thanks for the article! It reminded me to get my old (1934) Fox Sterlingworth out and wipe it down. Not much chance of my going bird hunting out here any more, so it doesn't get used. Nice dimensions though and it only weighs 6 lbs.

I've got a set of repro 1st gen grips saved just for this. I heard you could use screen door material to 'age' them too. I'll play with them and post the results.

Nothing special, but I just picked up this old 38wcf. Shipped to Wyeth's in St. Joseph, MO March 6th 1906. Safety notch needs welded, but the bore and chambers are nice. I need to replace those fake pearls quick. L1010718.JPG Usually an old mixed serial number colt (1880 frame, and 1892 trigger guar...

Late update, that plug tapers from .332 up to .462 and for the last half inch stays around .463. Guess it'll stay unused in that set as it already has all that's needed.

Interesting, as the set has expanders from 348 to 40, 40 to 45, and 40 to 50; all with smaller heads and shafts with rounded tips. Need a new battery in my micrometer. I'll measure after lunch.

I haven't found it yet. We had to drive the brass out so it might have fallen out then. Just a guess but the wider cut might have weakened that area.
