Not to tell you your own hopes and dreams but:

Numbers 1 & 4 could be done fairly easily; but 2 & 3? IMHO, It would be easier, cheaper and more aesthetic to re-barrel a straight stocked 1886 to .348

just my two cents,

Many parents these days are just plain too LAZY to follow through with what it takes to disipline a child properly. They are more concerned about themselves. It takes a lot of time spent with a child to raise them right, IMHO. Too many parents just won't do it for the effort it takes. Too tru...

Re: Marlin

As far as the square bolt thing: its just a round bolt with the corners left on. The Marlins in rifle cartridges have the corners knocked off. (Buy American) This is absolutely not true. A round bolt Marlin 336 action can easily handle 50,000 CUP loads and though some folks push them so to their hu...

Anyone know why WD-40 isn't good for guns? From what I've heard, as a penetrating oil it can remove the 'salts' from the bluing and thus make the finish wear faster. I don't know if it's true or not but that was enough to keep me from using it on guns. Having said that I generally use a combination...

Go for it!

Having own both pre and post safety 1894's in 357 - I'd say get it. My experience is that the older models are more likely to feed the .38's but both old and new feed 357's well. I believe that Marlin changed the design of the carrier a couple of years ago to help this on the new ones.
