Marlin 1895 take down

I just got my first levergun, a Marlin 1895ss in 45/70. My question is, do they take down for cleaning like the 336 model? I saw a booklet, where I bought the rifle, that showed detailed take down info on the 336 but it didn't mention the 1895. Thanks for any and all help.

I also use progressive lens. (Hobie is right about the cardiologist, these dang things are high.) I tossed around the idea of having them made with the reading prescription on top and the distance on the bottom. I shoot a lot more handgun than rifle. I just never figured the cost was worth the exper...

Come on Ysable Kid, that just sounds like sour grapes.  You are just mad because you didn't buy it when you could have gotten if for just an arm. Instead of 2 arms and 2 legs!!!! And that pitted bore, don't worry about it, you can't see it anyway. Remember, Annie Oakley!!!! THis could b...

His mannerisms were much closer to Robert Duvall than the other guy was to Tommy Lee Jones. I enjoyed it, but it got a bit slow at times. Looking forward to the big raid Tuesday night.

Bush in his own way attempts to dictate to other nations (Iran for instance)
Don't mean to stir the pot, but the fact that "Iran for instance" is developing a nuclear program doesn't bother you?

Today my wife made a vegetable lasagna for lunch. After lunch she asked me what I thought? Only thing I could come up with was "somewhere some poor rabbit was starving to death." That didn't go over to well. You would think after 28 years of marriage she would know that I was a meat and po...

I went to Thunder Ranch in 03, excellent staff and instruction. Clint Smith walks the shooting line giving one on one supervision also. Never been to Gunsite, but I don't think you would go wrong choosing either one.

I had one of the Kel-Tec P3ATs, it was a good LITTLE gun, emphasis on little. I am a big guy and could really only hold it with my middle finger on the grip and just a touch of my ring finger. If you have medium or smaller hands, it would make a dandy hide out gun. I just use my S&W 642 in a Mit...
