Try looking Cabela's Websight in the gun Library. There are several 2d generation SAA's at various prices. Another good sight is Collector's Firearms in Houston. If the grips are real Ivory and it is as new it is well worth that price regardless of caliber. God Bless.

I would just get a .450 Bushmaster AR if I was going to do alot of hog hunting. Semi auto, plenty of power and picatinny rail for attatchments. God Bless.

Joe, you are still young yet. I felt the same way as you do when I was your age. Give yourself another ten years and you may change your tune, I was reluctant but had to. Anything over 40 or 50yds and I can't see well enough for humane kills. I still use my 9422 & Henry .22lrCarbine up to 40yds ...

My thoughts would be a Marlin 1894 in .357 Mag for your wife. Easy to scope if you need to and she could start out with .38sp and work up to .357 for hunting. Well, I carry my Colt Anaconda when out in the Boonies. It is loaded with Buffalo Bore heavy .44specials with 2 speedloaders of .44mag Silvertips. Do not carry a long gun here as the worst predator I have seen is a coyote. God Bless.

For the money I don't think you can beat the classic 1895 Marlin in 45-70. I have one with a 3x9 Redfield scope and only have $625 total in it. Will work for anything you need to hunt. The 1886 is a fine rifle but does not do anything on a hunt that the Marlin won't. God Bless. :roll: :roll: :roll:

Colt Python 4" blued. I carried it for 24 yrs and it still is in my nightstand as my middle of the night "go to" if I don't have time to get the shotgun in my closet. It sure would be hard to give up my Browning Hi-Power practical. Can't we have two? :)

RSY, I have a Browning Hi-Power practical and this BDM is also a practical and the two tone matches very well. Just thought it would be a neat companian and I do have to buy something this month. A month without a new gun is not acceptable. God Bless.

Has anyone done any business with Dryes Gun Shop in Bahama N.C.? They have a Browning BDM I am interested in and they have a very slick web site. I always thought a " wall hanger" was an old, well used, maybe even non-functional firearm. I have an old muzzle loader hanging over the fireplace. Everthing else is in the safe except my middle of the night "go to guns". And they go into the safe when I leave the house. God Bless.

Piller, look at one piece mounts, they are alot more stable to me. I forget the brand I bought, but I put them on a Remington 700 and they have worked well. God Bless.
